Quality, Environmental & OH&S Integrated Management System

Quality Management System (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008)

We have developed a reputation for prompt, effective and personal service over two decades. So that our customers continue to receive services that meet their changing needs, we have developed a Integrated Management System covering all aspects of our business.

Rather than build separate systems for occupational health and safety, equipment maintenance, and service scheduling, we monitor and manage all our activities through our Integrated Management System. Integrating the functions of our business in this way focuses all our efforts on meeting the needs of our customers.

Our Integrated Management System is modelled on the International Standard AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS/NZS 4801:2001 & AS/AZS ISO 14001:2004.

A very important aspect of our Integrated Management System is a constant search for safer, more efficient and better quality ways to provide waste management services. As improvements are identified, they are incorporated in the system.

Our customers are welcome to inspect the relevant sections of our comprehensive system documentation.

Plant and Equipment Maintenance

We recognise that our vehicles and equipment must be kept in good order if we are to deliver timely and effective service to our customers.

Equipment maintenance procedures devoted to ensuring proper maintenance of all vehicles and other equipment form an integral part of our Quality Management System.  As do the control systems that are in place to ensure that all maintenance is carried out on schedule.

We employ qualified staff to service and maintain all our vehicles/equipment in our own workshop.

Maintenance facilities at Kwik Tip Bins

All our drivers inspect major vehicle systems each day before beginning work. This requirement and other minor maintenance is set out in Work Instructions for each task.

Environment Management System (ISO 14001 - 2004)

We are committed to the implementation of environmental management systems to ensure that it maintains and potentially improves its environmental performance.

Occupational Health and Safety (AS/NZS 4801 - 2001)

Tambo Waste places highest priority on the safety of its staff, customers and the public. The company has an outstanding safety record.  All operators handling prescribed waste have successfully completed the Victorian Waste Management Association course for handling prescribed waste.

Operators are thoroughly trained in all aspects of their tasks.  Quality system documentation includes Work Instructions setting out safe methods (SWMS) for performing each task.
